How it came about
The Agape Assembly of God – Papicu is a Christian church committed to being a light amidst the social challenges of our community. Located in a region marked by social contrasts, inequality, and vulnerability, Agape exists to be a point of hope, restoration, and spiritual guidance.
We are a church that believes the Gospel transforms not only the heart, but also family and social realities. We act as a welcoming community, offering pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and support to all who seek a fresh start.
Our MIssion
Our mission is to bring the love of Christ to families, youth, and children in Papicu, promoting spiritual transformation and social empowerment.

How it came about
The Pentecostal Church "The Ark of God's Presence" was born in the heart of a region marked by resistance, the struggle for decent housing, and its strong historical connection to fishing and the sea. Amidst this landscape of challenges and faith, it emerged as a point of spiritual hope and support for the community. Founded under the leadership of Pastor João Batista, the church began simply, with meetings full of prayer, unity, and purpose. Over time, it became a place of welcome, restoration, and strengthening for families, keeping the flame of faith alive and serving as a spiritual reference point for the region.
